24/7 WEAR VS. DAILY WEAR
Each collar is rated for its wearabilty.  You will find this rating above.  While most of our collars are rated at 24/7 continuous wear, some are rated as "Daily Wear."  Daily wear has essentially all the same conditions as 24/7 wear with the exception that a Daily Wear collar is not rated to be worn while sleeping.  You can get more information about 24/7 VS. Daily Wear in our FAQ's section.

IF YOU UPGRADE YOUR LOCK/CLASP YOU WILL NOT ALSO GET A FREE LOCK.  AN "UPGRADE" MEANS "INSTEAD OF" NOT "INCLUDING."  PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE PURCHASING. 

PERMANENT LOCKS - This lock, once closed, cannot be opened.  It has no key or keyhole.  Once locked, it can ONLY be removed by cutting the lock or the collar.

SIZING IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PLEASE SEE SIZING TAB BEFORE PURCHASING 

DAY COLLARS ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR ANY KIND OF "PLAY" OR STRESSFUL SITUATIONS.  THEY ARE JEWELRY THAT IS SYMBOLIC OF THE LIFESTYLE AND SHOULD BE CARED FOR AS ANY FINE QUALITY JEWELRY.

WHAT IS 24/7?

24/7 Wear means the item can be worn continually with normal use (sleeping, bathing, swimming etc.). *24/7 does NOT mean indestructible or that it cannot be damaged. ALWAYS use common sense with your collar as you would with any fine piece of jewelry.

 If you want your lock to also be 24/7 make sure to  be certain the lock you select along with your collar is also 24/7 wear (same metal).  All locks will be offered in the "Lock drop down menu."  Please remember that the nickel plated locks are not recommended for 24/7 wear.  You can find more information regarding this in the FAQs above.

Typically the collars are pictured/modled with a Mini Heart Lock.  

ENGRAVING:

All of our locks can be engraved with the exception of any of our clasps.  We have worked very hard to make our listings be able to offer engraving options right from within the product listing.  When you select your lock you will be asked if you want engraving.  Just click on "yes" and follow the prompts.  

ONE SIDEDE ENGRAVING - $14.95

TWO SIDED ENGRAVING - $29.95 

We offer 2 fonts:  Script and Block.  Please see listing's pictures for examples.  If you have a specific font that you would like, please email us first to see if we can do it for you.

We can also engrave symbols, logos, and photographs.  Symbols, logos and simple line art is an additional $14.95 each.  More complex engravings (photo engravings) are priced depending on the nature and complexity of the engraving.  If you want something special engraved please email us first before making your purchase.

 Also, please remember this collar is being handcrafted and you must understand and allow for human accuracy, not machined accuracy. There are NO mass produced items here. While we pride ourselves on accuracy, our works will be within a 1/8” inch, give or take. This is negligible and certainly not enough to affect the fit of your collar.

LOCKS & LOCK UPGRADES:

Most collars comes with either a FREE Nickel Plated padlock (Heart or Round Shape) and 2 keys or a FREE 316L Stainless Steel Lobster Claw Clasp (Unless otherwise stated).

OUR LOCKS ARE REAL FUNCTIONAL PADLOCKS THAT WORK WITH A KEY.  THEY ARE NOT CLASPS.

Here at ToBeHis is your ONLY opportunity to upgrade your lock to one that you can truly wear 24/7! No more replacing your nickel plated lock when the nickel plating wears away!  Our options do NOT exist anywhere else in the world and can ONLY be found here at ToBeHis. You will find your choice of lock in the pictures as well as the “Lock” drop down.

Please select your lock logically.  If the collar is to be worn snug or is a big collar don't select a Micro size lock.  Remember, our products are for jewelry "Day" collars that are symbolic of the lifestyle and only to be used for show. They should be cared for as you would any expensive piece of jewelry.

NICKEL PLATED LOCKS (FREE)

This lock is composed of a zinc alloy core, plated with a silvery mirror nickel finish. As with ALL plated items, the finish will eventually and permanently wear away with use leaving it looking dingy and tarnished. This wear cannot be repaired or fixed. The nickel plated lock is not recommended with those who have sensitive skin or are allergic to the latter mentioned metals. This is a temporary lock. Additional keys can be added to cart in the "lock" section of our store.

ONLY here at ToBeHis can you upgrade to this permanently lasting and skin friendly lock. This lock is composed entirely of the highest quality stainless steel (including the inner spring), which is 316L Surgical Stainless Steel. This lock comes with one 316L stainless steel key. Additional keys can be purchased and found in the "lock" section of our store. *These locks and keys are both hallmarked with our legal company name on the side. This mark is required of us by law and cannot be circumvented under any circumstance as a legal LLC.* Stainless Steel is a hard metal and should NEVER be paired with soft metals such as sterling and gold to minimize damage to the softer precious metals.

Black Coated Nickel Plated Locks

This is our Exclusive Satin Black Coated Lock. It is 100% inert, 100% hypoallergenic and can be worn 24/7 (as long as the coating stays intact).

Our definition of 24/7 is that it can continually stay in contact with the skin with no worries of any kind of metal allergic reaction. It can also be bathed with daily with no worries of damaging the lock.  24/7 does NOT mean indestructible. Like any other "coated" or "plated" item, the coating will eventually wear off.  How long depends on the wearer. It could be 2 years, it could be 2 weeks.  With the proper care the coating will stay intact for a long time. If you are rough with your jewelry or use it with any kind of stress it will chip the coating exposing the nickel plated metal underneath.

The Black Coating is a very durable industrial heat applied polyresin that is 100% Hypoallergenic. Again, with the proper care should last quite some time.
